The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology will comply fully with the University of Utah’s Temporary Policy on Human Subjects Research Related Visits During the COVID-19 Outbreak (revision effective March 28, 2020; https://research.utah.edu/coronavirus/guidance-for-research-planning-and-continuity.php#Human%20Subjects%20Research-Related%20Visits).

This policy is being implemented to protect research participants, research personnel and the larger University and Utah communities.

Research visits must be performed remotely (i.e., by phone, Zoom, or other means) whenever possible.

Research visits that cannot be performed remotely and that are not essential to a participant’s health and/or well-being should be postponed until further guidance. We will be reviewing this policy frequently and will post amended guidance as soon as substantive changes are possible.
