One position is available each year in our Fellowship in Family Planning on a competitive basis. Candidates may apply through the fellowship in family planning website.
Who is Eligible to Apply?
The Fellowship in Family Planning is open to physicians who have completed an accredited United States or Canadian ob-gyn or family medicine residency program.
There are 28 sites that are open to OB/GYN doctors and one that is open to family medicine doctors.
Career Opportunities for Fellows
Currently there are 201 graduated fellows.
Graduates of the fellowship go on to work in academic departments as family planning specialist or internationally with NGOs. In the U.S., fellows have career opportunities in:
- Clinics
- Government
- Policy
- Non-government agencies
Fellows graduate prepared conduct family planning research, teach evidence-based medicine, and become leaders in national or international family planning.
