Selfcare for care providers:

  • The Caring for the Carer program from USCOE Founding Partner the Australian Stillbirth Center for Research Excellence. This free online course was created for healthcare professionals in perinatal and bereavement care. It offers space to pause, reflect, and strengthen your capacity to continue providing compassionate care. The course includes four modules, each taking approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. It includes practical, trauma-informed strategies to help you sustain your wellbeing while supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and loss.
  • The Collaborative on Clinician Well-Being and Resilience from the National Academy of Medicine includes resources for improving clinician wellbeing, such as this AMA toolkit on peer support programs for physicians
  • The Work and Well-Being Toolkit for Physicians by the Behavioral Health and Wellness Program of the University of Colorado School of Medicine
  • Code Lavender, first developed by the Cleveland Clinic, is a rapid response program to provide support for providers after a stressful incident. Many hospitals and clinics have a Code Lavender program, including University of Utah Health.

The International Stillbirth Alliance (ISA) Conference is a unique opportunity to bring both researchers and parents together to discuss Stillbirth research, prevention, and support.
